We are proud to have been named “The Best Student Organization at UNO” during the 2016-2017 school year, and 2nd best chapter at CEO Nationals in Tampa last year. We plan to continue to be the best organization at UNO, and take over that number 1 spot this year at CEO nationals! We understand that to be the best, we have to attract the greatest and brightest students on campus -- which is why we are always striving to provide our members with the best tools and support that UNO and the Omaha Startup Community have to offer.
During our Wednesday afternoon meetings, we have a variety of speakers from the Omaha Startup Community come and speak to us about the trials, hardships, and rewards that come with being an entrepreneur. New for the 2017-2018 school year, we are going to have a Shark Tank style competition, start up simulation, and more.
But we are far more than just Wednesday meetings. We also have monthly “CEOcials” where we all meet for some off campus fun. From bowling to pool parties -- we love to get out of our comfort zones and have some fun! Check out the calendar for CEOcial dates.
Last year we sponsored 24 students to attend the CEO Nationals convention in Tampa, Florida -- that means free travel, free hotel and free admission to the convention. This year it’s only going to get better, we are sponsoring 29 dues paying members to attend CEO Nationals in Tampa!
We are really excited for the 2017-2018 year! Last year’s success is going to be hard to beat, but we believe that with your help we can make it the best year yet, so come check us out on Wednesday afternoons in MH 122!
